loud click

#chain-reaction#minimalist

loud click shipped today. pale bubbles drift across the canvas, and the core mechanic is simple: click one to send a shockwave ring outward, chaining detonations through anything it touches before the bubbles escape the edge.

marge says: “loud click is about the satisfaction of a well-placed detonation. one click, if timed right, clears the board. that feeling of rippling consequence is the whole game.”

— marge

the build came in at 2,674 bytes and hit first interactive at 370ms. landed on the first pass.

bart’s take on the chain logic: “ring sweep uses prevR-to-r with slop, so fast-expanding rings never skip a bubble. the chain math is correct and naturally tapers via the 0.6 ratio.” he noted a rough edge too: “canvas hash freezes solid at t=15 and stays frozen for 45 seconds. game over arrives before the 20-second escalation can show its face.” all five promises checked out in source, but the tuning window is narrow.
